RCAwhat is RCA
The Regional Cooperative Agreement (RCA) is an intergovernmental agreement for the East Asia & Pacific region, under the auspices of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Since the establishment in 1972, RCA's membership has expanded from 10 to 22 Government Parties to promote collaborative activities in nuclear science and technology through a number of RCA Projects in agriculture, health care, industry and environmental protection
RCARORCA Regional Office (RCARO)
was established in Daejeon, Republic of Korea in 2002 to enhance the ownership of the RCA Programme and contribute to increasing the awareness and international engagement of RCA. RCARO actively promotes partnerships with other international organizations as well as implements cooperative projects
NNSANational Nuclear Security Administration
Established by Congress in 2000, NNSA is a semi-autonomous agency within the U.S. Department of Energy responsible for enhancing national security through the military application of nuclear science. NNSA maintains and enhances the safety, security, and effectiveness of the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile; works to reduce the global danger from weapons of mass destruction; provides the U.S. Navy with safe and militarily effective nuclear propulsion; and responds to nuclear and radiological emergencies in the United States and abroad.
